About Inmate Inbox

What is Inmate Inbox?

Inmate Inbox is a fast and secure way to stay connected with inmates while they’re in jail or prison.  For a fee, you can send and receive messages and photos.  The messages are delivered immediately and can be viewed by the inmate whenever they access the kiosk.  You can also send photos; however, the photos must be approved by staff, so there will be a delay before they’re delivered.

It is only available at select facilities, so check the website for availability.

Will Inmate Inbox work on my mobile device?

Yes. Inmate Inbox is responsive to all screen sizes.

Do you have an app?

Yes…we currently have a mobile app available for Apple & Android devices. Search “Inmate Inbox” in the Apple App Store & Google Play Store. Additionally, our website is responsive to all phone/tablet screens.

Setting Up An Account

How do I create my Inmate Inbox account?

On the website click on the Sign-Up link/box.  The system will direct you to a registration form.  Enter your information and click Submit at the bottom of the page.  You will then need to wait on an account activation email.  If you don’t receive the email within 15 minutes please check your Junk or Spam folders.

Once your account is activated you can log into the system.  Once you log in click on Find Inmates, it’s on the left hand side of the page at the bottom of the drop down menu.  From there you will need to select the state and facility where the inmate is located.  You will also need to enter some identifying information for the inmate.  The best practice is to enter just the inmate’s last name.  A last name search will bring back all inmates with that last name and you can select them from the list.  Once you select them click on Add to Contacts.  You then need to wait on the inmate to accept your contact request.

What are the fees involved?

It takes 1 credit to send or receive a message.  It takes 2 credits to send a photo.

You can purchase 20 credits for a cost of $5.00 plus a $1.00 processing fee.

If you send a photo and it’s rejected your credits will be refunded.

Messages may now contain preapproved emojis at a cost of 5¢/ea.

How do I request a refund?

Click on the Contact Us link in the top right-hand corner and send us a message.  Please provide as much detail as possible.

Managing Your Account

How do I manage or close my account?

You can manage or close your account by log into the system and clicking on the My Account link at the top of the page.  You can make any necessary changes and then update those changes at the bottom of the page.  You can also cancel your account at the bottom of the page.
